The Simiand group takes his name from François Simiand, an important French sociologist, economist and economic historian from the early 20th century.

The Simiand group includes all academics interested in economic history at Paris School of Economics. Its organizers are Jérôme Bourdieu, Jean-Yves Grenier, Pierre-Cyrille Hautcœur and Gilles Postel-Vinay.

The Simiand group coordinates various activities:
puce A research seminar held twice a month on Mondays,
puce Some conferences,
puce Invitation of foreign scholars,
puce Doctoral scholarships under the European Research Training Network Unifying the European Experience,
puce Various collective research projects,
puce Some recent publications.
