The Simiand group takes his name from François Simiand, an important French sociologist, economist and economic historian from the early 20th century.
The Simiand group includes all academics interested in economic history at Paris School of Economics. Its organizers are Jérôme Bourdieu, Jean-Yves Grenier, Pierre-Cyrille Hautcœur and Gilles Postel-Vinay.
